OBO X04 G M25 LGR junction box IP67 (incl. 3x V-TEC M25 cable gland)
Sometimes you just want one thing: a connection that sits neatly, stays dry and that you can access again later without cursing. The OBO X04 G M25 LGR is just such a cable box (and yes, people often call it “junction box” in practice) for indoors and outdoors. Robust, sleek and made to neatly finish installations.
This version is extra handy because it includes 3x V-TEC M25 cable glands and 3 lock nuts. That means: three feed-throughs professionally arranged right away, without having to hunt for loose parts.
Why this cable box is such a good choice
- IP67: designed to be dustproof and waterproof (provided you mount it correctly).
- IK09: can take a beating on wall, facade or in the workshop.
- Compact but workable: enough interior space to lay connections neatly without a “lid-pushing contest”.
- Neat to finish: inputs cleverly positioned, glands included, ready for tight cable management.

Feeders & glands: making it really neat
The junction box has 7 entries (Ø20/25) and 3 M25 cable glands are supplied. Practical tip: use the cable glands for the “main cables” (where you want strain relief) and the other entries for looping through/outgoing cables, depending on your set-up.
Installation tips (so it will still be dry after 3 winters)
1) Think first, then cut
- Determine your cable route: where will there be bends, where do you want slack, where do you want service space?
- Leave enough working space inside, but avoid “spaghetti”. The lid closes nicer and you’ll find everything faster later.
2) Fit cable glands without overdoing it
- Fit straight, gasket clean, and tighten until firm – do not over-tighten.
- When mounting outside, make a drip loop before the input. Water will then not cozily run into your box.
3) Last check before closing the lid
- No cables under tension, no sharp edges, and no dirt on the seal.
- Lid closes flat and evenly (not “one corner just slightly higher”).
