Esdec Clickfit Basic Mounting Screw
Which mounting screw and end clamp do I need for my solar panels?
When mounting solar panels on a pitched roof with tiles, it is important to choose the right mounting screw and end clamp. This is directly related to the frame height of your solar module. This not only ensures a secure and safe mounting, but also a long life for your solar power system.
Why are there different lengths of mounting screws?
Solar panels have varying frame heights, ranging from 29 mm to 52 mm, for example. To securely fasten these frames to the mounting system, mounting screws are needed in different lengths. The higher the frame of your solar panel, the longer the screw needs to be to properly secure the end clamp to the mounting rail.
For example:
-
For a frame height of 29-32 mm, use a 55 mm screw.
-
For a frame height of 33-35 mm use a 60 mm screw.
-
Frames of 36-40 mm require a 63 mm screw.
-
For 41-46 mm, a 70 mm screw belongs.
-
And for the largest frames of 47-52 mm, use a 75 mm screw.
This way, the mounting system fits perfectly and you avoid any play or damage.
Note: Do you use black end caps to finish the mounting rails neatly? Then a minimum frame height of 33 mm applies.
