This is one of those “why didn’t I do this before?” parts: the Schnabl ESD30 clamping plug is the quick basis for mounting Schnabl Euro-Clips on solid substrates. You drill a hole, insert the plug and snap your Euro-Clip on. Done. Tight piping, without screws.

Ideal for cable duct routes in commercial and residential buildings and (yes) also around PV installations where you want a neat, service-friendly route.

Schnabl ESD30 clamp plug – the quick base for Euro-Clip mounting

If you’ve ever aligned a few metres of installation pipe, you know: it’s either tight and quiet, or you’re still “straightening” later. The Schnabl ESD30 clamp plug (item 31300) helps you get a neat base immediately: you make a Ø6 mm drill hole, insert the plug and then snap your Schnabl Euro-Clip (EC) onto the base.

Result: a sturdy, neatly aligned pipe route without loose plug + screw combinations. Perfect for ceilings, walls and concrete subfloors where you want to make speed, but still like to leave a job well done.

Compatibility: what do you click it off with?

The ESD30 is made as a click base for the Schnabl Euro-Clip (EC series). You click the Euro-Clip onto the base of the clamp plug, mounting pipe and cable routes superfast on a mineral substrate.

Please note (system logic): This is the clamp plug, not the pipe clamp itself. You therefore need a matching Euro-Clip EC for your pipe diameter (e.g. EC19/EC20/EC25 etc.).

Substrates: where does ESD30 feel at home?

ESD30 is widely used on solid mineral substrates such as concrete and masonry. For specific types of stone, aerated concrete/ytongue or other substrates, drill neatly to size and match the application to the substrate (check in datasheet if your situation differs from “standard concrete/stone”).

Assembly in 30 seconds

1) Drilling

  • Drill Ø6 mm and 27 mm deep.
  • Make the drill hole dust-free (blow/brush briefly). This immediately gives a better grip.

2) Inserting the plug

  • Insert the ESD30 into the drilled hole until it fits neatly.

3) Euro-Clip on

  • Click your Euro-Clip (EC) onto the base.
  • Push the tube into the clip and check that your route is straight.

Pro-tips for super straight routes

  • Start with the tricky parts: bends, penetrations, transitions. Then the rest of your route will automatically “fill in” tightly.
  • Work with a reference line: laying out a straight line once = metres of pleasure.
  • Don’t cheat with the borehole: Ø6 and 27 mm deep is really the sweet spot for this lure.
