SolarEdge ONE EV Charger – 22 kW smart EV charger for the SolarEdge ecosystem
The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger is a compact, smart 22 kW AC charging station for homes and small businesses. It integrates seamlessly with your SolarEdge Inverter and SolarEdge Home system to automatically charge your EV on its own solar power or at the cheapest hourly rates.
This version(SE-EVN22SE0-01) is a wall charger with Type 2 socket (wall outlet) and built-in WiFi, Ethernet and RFID reader. The charger works on both 1-phase and 3-phase, delivers up to 22 kW charging power and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Key benefits of the SolarEdge ONE EV Charger
- Up to 22 kW charging capacity – suitable for 1- or 3-phase connections with 6-32 A per phase.
- Type 2 connector (plug) – flexible: you can use your own cable or permanently lock a cable for a “tethered” experience.
- Perfect match with SolarEdge – works with SolarEdge inverters for PV surplus charging, load balancing and import limiting.
- Smart charging schedules – charging based on solar power, low power price or departure time that can be controlled from SolarEdge apps.
- RFID, app or plug & charge – authorise charging with a card, via the app or simply plug in (plug & charge / plug & play).
- Built-in connectivity options – WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth; the Pro variant also has LTE/eSIM and MID meter.
- OCPP 1.6J – can be connected to backend or CPO platforms for enterprise or semi-public installations.
- Robust and compact – IP54, IK08, only 235 × 230 × 130 mm and only 1.8 kg; easy to place even in small spaces.
- SolarEdge apps – control and monitoring via mySolarEdge (residential) or ONE EV for C&I (commercial).

SolarEdge ONE EV Charger in practice
- Charge on your own solar power – set the car to charge primarily when there is surplus from the solar cells; feed less, use more yourself.
- Charge smartwith dynamic tariffs – combine your charger witha dynamic energy contract and charge primarily during off-peak hours.
- Avoid peak loads – with import limitation and load management, you can prevent your main fuse from constantly blowing.
- Authorisation per user – give family members or employees their own RFID badges and keep track of who has charged how much via the app.
Tips for installation
- 1. Check the mains connection
For 22 kW charging you need a 3×32 A / 400 V connection. For an easier connection, you can limit the charging current (e.g. 3×16 A ≈ 11 kW or single phase 32 A ≈ 7.4 kW). - 2. Determine mounting height and cable routing
Mount the charger at a comfortable height where it can be connected and disconnected (approx. 1.2-1.4 m) and carefully plan the cable route from the meter box to the charging point with the right cable diameter and protection. - 3. Configure via mySolarEdge
Use the app to connect the charger to your SolarEdge Home system, set up WiFi and create charging plans (solar trio, timed charging, etc.). - 4. Consider load balancing
If you already have a heat pump, induction hob or home battery, smart load balancing is not a luxury but a necessity. Have the distribution board and main fuse properly assessed. - 5. Have the mains connection done by a professional
You can often hang the charger yourself, but connecting it to the meter box and setting the correct grid code and protection should be done by a certified installer.
