Ferroamp Solar String Optimiser Single 8 kW – smart string optimiser for the Ferroamp DC nanogrid
The Ferroamp SSO Single 8 kW is a string optimiser for the Ferroamp ecosystem (EnergyHub/DC nanogrid). You connect one PV string to the SSO (MC4) and the SSO cleverly connects that string to the DC grid, with high efficiency and built-in safeguards. Ideal if you want optimal control per string, with a neat and scalable DC structure (especially in combination with the Ferroamp Power Distribution units).

Installation tips (so it’s right the first time)
- Mount vertically with connections down and out of direct sunlight (cooling + lifetime).
- Keep ventilation clear: at least 50 mm on the sides and 200 mm top/bottom.
- DC switch mandatory between SSO and EnergyHub/DC grid (safe switching off during service).
- Use only appropriate MC4 connectors and crimping tools (good connection = less chance of hot spots).
- gPV fuse between SSO and DC nanogrid: max. 25 A.
