The Ferroamp EnergyHub Wall 21K (21 kVA) is the heart of a Ferroamp installation: a bi-directional inverter that effortlessly converts energy from AC → DC and from DC → AC. With it, you connect the public grid (3-phase) to Ferroamp’s local DC nanogrid, to which you connect PV via Solar String Optimisers (SSO) and energy storage, among others. The result: a sleek, modular system ready for growth (more PV, more storage, more load capacity) without having to reinvent your entire installation.

Why this is a fine “building block”

  • Bidirectional: charges (AC→DC) and discharges (DC→AC) smartly, depending on your energy demand.
  • DC nanogrid (760 V): PV and storage on the DC side = fewer conversion steps and clear system construction.

Installation tips (saves hassle)

  • Consider cooling: keep sufficient space around it and avoid mounting it in a place that gets structurally hot (directly next to heat source/sun radiation).
  • DC bus planning: keep the DC bus cable route logical and service-friendly; as a guide, a maximum DC bus cable length of 200 m is mentioned (for longer distances: design in consultation).
  • Parallel expansion: want to scale up later? In your distribution cabinet/main connection, keep space in advance for additional EnergyHub’s (up to 4 in parallel).
  • Measurement for smart functions: for functions such as phase/power balancing and analysis, measurement components (such as current transformers) belong in the system design.
