Ferroamp Power Distribution Unit 8 SSO – DC distribution box for 8 Solar String Optimizers
The Ferroamp Power Distribution Unit 8 SSO is the DC distribution box (combiner box) for neatly and safely bundling multiple Solar String Optimisers (SSO) within a Ferroamp installation. Instead of separate fuse holders and a jumble of connections, you have one central unit with clear cabling, individual protection per channel and a main switch for safe maintenance.

Installation tips (Radiant green-style)
- Number your inputs 1-8 (SSO-1 to SSO-8). This saves so much time during commissioning and service.
- Stick to the cable cross-sections: incoming 1.5-10 mm² and outgoing 10-50 mm² (L+/L-).
- Use the right cable glands (M20 for SSO in, M25/M32 for out). This will ensure that IP65 really is IP65.
- Work DC safe: de-energise, lock where possible and always measure.
- Service area: mount it so that you can easily access fuses and switches later.
