SolarEdge Power Optimizer S650B

Meet the SolarEdge Power Optimiser S650b, an advanced optimiser that provides efficient panel-level power optimisation, designed specifically for use with SolarEdge inverters. This innovative optimiser maximises the output of your solar panels, even under shifting shadows.

With an impressive efficiency of 99.5%, the S650b prevents any loss that can occur due to ‘mismatch’, ranging from product tolerances to shading. So you get the full potential out of your solar panels and optimise your investment. Moreover, the Solaredge Power Optimiser S650b provides extra safety by detecting abnormal temperatures of connected connectors, preventing potential safety issues. It also features voltage cut-off at panel level, ensuring a safe working environment for installers and firefighters.

The Solaredge Power Optimiser S650b is designed for easy installation. Cable management is simplified and the optimiser can be easily mounted with just 2 self-tapping screws or the optimiser rail mounting kit with a single bolt.

This powerful power optimiser is also fully compatible with bi-facial solar panels, giving you even more options for generating renewable energy.

Complete your PV system design! Combine the SolarEdge Power Optimiser S650b with a SolarEdge 1-phase or 3-phase inverter for optimal performance. The S650b can be used for both short and long strings and offers maximum flexibility when designing your solar power system. Please note the following string design rules:

• Solaredge single-phase inverter: minimum 6 solar panels with power optimisers in a string capturing sunlight, maximum 25. Maximum 5700 Watt peak on a string.
• Solaredge 3-stage inverter: minimum 14 solar panels with power optimisers in a string capturing sunlight, maximum 50. Maximum 11250 Watt peak.
• Solaredge Short string inverter: minimum 8 solar panels with power optimisers in a string capturing sunlight, maximum 20. Maximum 5625 Watt peak.

Important to know: Solaredge recommends not combining the P-series and S-series optimisers in the same string, unless it is an expansion of an existing installation. This is because the S-series optimisers offer more monitoring capabilities (Senseconnect technology) than the P-series, and those extra functionalities may be lost. So make sure you equip your inverter with the latest firmware version when you mix optimisers.
