SolarEdge SE50K-RW00IBNE4 – 50 kW 3-phase Synergy Manager (without Synergy Units)
The SolarEdge SE50K-RW00IBNE4 is the Synergy Manager / base unit of a 50 kW SolarEdge Synergy system. This product includes the housing with AC/DC connections, control and communication – but no Synergy Units. For a complete 50 kW inverter configuration, you still need two separate Synergy Units, which are ordered separately.
The Synergy Manager is the heart of a DC-optimised SolarEdge system: combined with SolarEdge power optimisers and Synergy Units, you get panel-level MPPT, comprehensive monitoring and high efficiency, ideal for medium and large commercial or agricultural installations.
What exactly are you buying with the SE50K-RW00IBNE4?
This item consists of:
- The SolarEdge Synergy Manager for a 50 kW 3-phase Synergy configuration.
- AC and DC connection compartments and terminals.
- The control electronics, protection devices and communication interface.
This article does not contain any Synergy Units. Without these power modules, the Synergy Manager itself does not supply AC power; the appropriate Synergy Units must be added.
What do you use the SolarEdge SE50K Synergy Manager for?
- As the basis for a new 50 kW Synergy plant, together with two matching Synergy Units.
- As a replacement Synergy Manager for an existing SE50K installation whose Manager is faulty or damaged.
- For projects where you deliberately buy Manager and Synergy Units separately (e.g. due to stock management, service projects or mix of capacities).
Main system features (with associated Synergy Units)
In a complete configuration with two matching Synergy Units, you can realise a system including:
- AC power up to 50 kW, 3-phase (3×400 V + N).
- DC-optimised SolarEdge system with power optimisers on each panel.
- Panel level monitoring via the SolarEdge monitoring portal.
- Built-in safety features such as arc fault detection (AFCI), DC surge protection type II, RS485-SPD and optional AC-SPD.
- PID recovery (overnight) for longer lifetime of P-type panels.
- Pre-commissioning – automatic check of cabling and components before grid connection.
Note that the concrete values for DC and AC power depend on the type and number of Synergy Units you apply. The SE50K-RW00IBNE4 itself is the basic unit, not the complete inverter.
Installation tips for the Synergy Manager (without units)
- 1. Always check your configuration
Determine in advance which Synergy Units you need (e.g. two identical power modules) and check in the SolarEdge documentation that these, together with the SE50K-RW00IBNE4, form the desired system configuration. - 2. Reserve space for Manager + Units
In your installation plan, allow sufficient wall space for both the Synergy Manager and Synergy Units. These usually come next to or below each other, with sufficient free space for cooling and service. - 3. Prepare AC and DC cabling
Pull all the appropriate AC cable (3-phase + N + PE) and DC cabling to the Synergy Manager location. The final connection to the Synergy Units will follow once they are mounted. - 4. Using pre-commissioning (after complete assembly)
Once Manager and Synergy Units are installed and wired, use the pre-commissioning function in SetApp to check strings, optimisers and cabling before switching on to the grid. - 5. Set up monitoring directly
Connect the installation to the SolarEdge monitoring portal via Ethernet, WiFi or GSM. This allows you to keep track of Synergy Units, optimisers and panel yield.
When do you specifically choose this “without units” variant?
The SE50K-RW00IBNE4 version without Synergy Units is particularly interesting when:
- You want to replace a defective Synergy Manager in an existing installation, while the Synergy Units are still good.
- You already have Synergy Units in stock or have purchased them via another bundle and only need a separate Manager.
- You manage service or spare parts for multiple SolarEdge Synergy projects.
