UV-resistant neoprene cable
UV-resistant Neoprene H07RNF cable is the ideal choice for connecting a solar panel inverter, to the meter box. Especially when the cable can be exposed to weather conditions. So ideal for use with micro inverters from Enhase, for example! Enphase Micro inverters are only equipped with a phase and neutral. So if you only use the neoprene to connect an IQ7, IQ7+, iQ7A, IQ8, IQ8+, IQ8M, IQ8MC, IQ8AC or IQ8HC inverter branch, no conductor for earth is required. Enphase always recommends using at least 4mm2 conductor thicknesses.
For longer distances, a thicker cable is needed to keep resistance low and prevent inverter interference. Use our handy Solar Panel Wiring Calculator: AC Wire Thickness to calculate the required wire thickness!
Solar Panel Wiring Calculator: AC Conductor ThicknessUV-resistant neoprene cable has braided cores. The screw of a terminal block could damage the thin wires, creating a bad connection. Use Wago welding clamps instead!
Pro tip: Connect the Enphase Q-cable branches on the roof in a junction box with cast socket, and go from there with a neoprene cable with a core for earth to the earth rails in the meter box. That way, you don’t need to lay an extra earth wire to ground the mounting system!
Neoprene cable is super flexible and therefore also very suitable for supplying AC power to mobile equipment.
Price is per metre of Neoprene. Metres are supplied in 1 length.
