Growatt GroHome Manager-X – central energy manager for Growatt PV, battery and EV
The Growatt GroHome Manager-X is the smart heart of your Growatt installation.
This compact DIN-rail module continuously measures consumption in your home and controls inverters, home battery, boiler and charging station.
This way, as much of your solar power as possible goes to your own consumption instead of the grid – fully integrated with ShinePhone and ShineServer.
The GroHome Manager-X is designed for new Growatt installations with the right hardware and firmware.
It is therefore not a universal retrofit solution for any existing systems, but rather a
tightly integrated energy manager for the latest generation of Growatt inverters, batteries and THOR charging poles.
Why choose the Growatt GroHome Manager-X?
- Central energy manager for solar panels, home battery, boiler and EV charging station.
- Installation without data cable between battery/inverter and smart meter thanks to RF communication (with ShineRFStick-X2).
- Supports 1-phase, 2-phase and 3-phase grids – so suitable for almost any home or small business.
- Controllable up to 12 devices (inverters, boosters, THOR charging posts, smart loads).
- Advanced metering with supplied current transformers (CTs) for accurate net import/export metering.
- Full integration into ShinePhone and ShineServer, so installer and end user manage everything in one dashboard.
- Smart scheduling mode becomes available via firmware update; ready now for smart switching on surplus and time schedules.
Important compatibility – which devices work with GroHome Manager-X?
Compatibility is crucial with GroHome. Use the GroHome Manager-X only with supported Growatt devices and with the correct firmware versions.
Currently, the GroHome Manager-X is compatible with, among others:
Growatt inverters
- NEO 600-1000M-X micro-inverters
- NEO 1600-2500M-X2 micro-inverters
- MIN 2.5-6KTL-X / MIN 2.5-6KTL-XH / MIN 2.5-6KTL-XH2
- MOD 3-10KTL3-XH / MOD 3-10KTL3-HU
- MID 15-30KTL3-XH / MID 15-30KTL3-HU
- SPH 4-10KTL3 BH-UP hybrid inverters
Growatt THOR EV charging stations
- THOR 07 AS-S (1-phase)
- THOR 11 AS-S (3-phase)
- THOR 22 AS-S (3-phase)
Are you using a different type of Growatt inverter or charging station, or in doubt about a combination?
If so, please contact us – we will be happy to check whether your set-up is officially supported and which firmware is required.
Required accessories: ShineRFStick-X2 and CT clamps
- For a wireless connection between inverter and GroHome Manager-X, you need one Growatt ShineRFStick-X2 per inverter (in the USB port of the inverter).
- The GroHome Manager-X is connected behind the main energy return meter and uses
1, 2 or 3 CT terminals for measuring phase currents:- 1 CT for single-phase installations
- 2 CTs for split-phase / 3P3W
- 3 CTs for 3-phase 4-conductor (3P4W)
Technical features GroHome Manager-X

- Supported mains structures: 1-phase, split-phase, 3-phase 3-wire, 3-phase 4-wire
- Max. number of devices to be managed: up to 12
- Communication: RS485 (3 ports), RF 868/915 MHz, WiFi 2.4 GHz, Ethernet (RJ45), BLE for commissioning
- Protection rating: IP20 (for mounting in meter box or technical room)
- Power consumption: approx. 9 W
- Operating environment: -30 to +60 °C, <85% RH (non-condensing)
Firmware and smart scheduling
Correct operation requires the latest firmware on both the GroHome Manager-X and the linked Growatt inverters, batteries and THOR charging posts.
Firmware updates can be performed remotely via ShineServer, with a temporary WiFi dongle or via a USB stick.
Our team can help you with this so that features such as smart scheduling and smart control on surplus become neatly available.
Installation tips for installers and advanced do-it-yourselfers
- Placement: on a DIN rail in the distribution cabinet, directly behind the main switch/main meter, so that the CTs see all incoming and outgoing power.
- Cabling: keep AC, RS485 and CT cabling neatly separated and follow Growatt connection diagrams for 1- and 3-phase systems.
- CT direction: pay attention to the arrows and mark K→L (grid → consumers) so that import/export in ShinePhone is displayed correctly.
- Commissioning: add the GroHome Manager-X to the system via the ShinePhone app, connect the RF devices (ShineRFStick-X2, GroBoost-X, THOR) and check live measurements.
