SolarEdge Home Hub 1-phase SE6000H-RWB – 6 kW hybrid inverter with HD-Wave
The SolarEdge Home Hub 1-phase SE6000H-RWB is a 6 kW hybrid inverter for homes with a 1-phase 230 V connection. This inverter combines SolarEdge’s well-known panel-level optimiser system with an integrated connection for a high-voltage home battery. Thanks to HD-Wave technology, it is extremely efficient, compact and lightweight, making it ideal for both new installations and replacement of older inverters.
In the official datasheet, this type is referred to as StorEdge 1-phase inverter SE6000H with HD-Wave. In practice, it is increasingly marketed as SolarEdge Home Hub: one central inverter that brings together PV, battery and smart consumers.
Why choose the SolarEdge Home Hub SE6000H-RWB?
- 6 kW 1-phase AC power – suitable for most residential installations with a 1-phase main connection.
- Battery-ready – direct connection for a high-voltage home battery (SolarEdge Home Battery / compatible HV battery, depending on version).
- Panel-level optimisation – works with SolarEdge power optimisers; each panel its own MPP, more yield under shade and different orientations.
- HD-Wave technology – very high inverter efficiency (maximum around 99%) in a compact, lightweight housing.
- 1-phase, 230 V – easy to fit into a home’s existing distribution cabinet.
- SetApp built-in – commissioning via your smartphone; no display, but a built-in WiFi access point for configuration.
- Smart Energy ready – support for export limitation and Smart Energy products (relays, load switches) via RS485/Ethernet/WiFi/Zigbee, depending on accessories.
- Indoor and outdoor mounting – IP65 enclosure, so suitable for shed, garage, facade or technical room.
- Long warranty – 12 years as standard, extendable to 20 or 25 years (via SolarEdge warranty extension).
Application: where does this inverter fit well?
The SolarEdge Home Hub SE6000H-RWB is ideal for:
- A new SolarEdge system with optimisers on each panel.
- Households that are already installing solar panels but want to add a home battery later.
- Roofs with multiple surfaces, dormers or (partial) shade, where panel level optimisation makes all the difference.
- Single-phase connections where you need around 6 kW of inverter power.

Installation tips for do-it-yourselfers
The SolarEdge Home Hub combines well with DIY, but the final grid connection should be done by a certified installer in most cases. Some practical tips:
- 1. Always work with SolarEdge optimisers
This inverter is specifically designed for use with optimisers on each panel. Choose the right type of optimiser (e.g. S series) based on panel power and string design. - 2. String design according to SolarEdge rules
SolarEdge works with a fixed string design. Adhere to the minimum and maximum number of optimisers per string and per inverter. Preferably use the SolarEdge Designer tool for a correct calculation. - 3. AC connection in the distribution cabinet
A 6 kW single-phase inverter requires a suitable end group and cable cross-section. Have this part carried out or checked by a certified installer and follow the requirements of the grid operator. - 4. Battery preparation
Do you want to connect a SolarEdge home battery later? Then reserve space next to the inverter now, and consider cable routes between inverter, battery and any smart meter / gateway. - 5. SetApp commissioning
Commissioning is done via the SolarEdge SetApp on your smartphone. The inverter itself creates a WiFi access point; with this you set the basic configuration, country code, communication and any export restriction. - 6. Indoor or outdoor installation
Mount the inverter on a solid wall, vibration-free and out of direct sunlight. Leave enough free space around it for cooling and access to the connections.
