GBLI end cap – sealing cap for Growatt GBLI 6.5 kWh home battery
The GBLI end cap is a sealing cap/sealing cap for the Growatt GBLI 6.5 kWh low voltage battery. With this end cap, you safely seal the free link connections of the battery when no second GBLI module or additional cabling is connected. This keeps the contacts protected from dust, moisture and mechanical damage and keeps the installation cleanly compliant.
Do you use only one Growatt GBLI battery or is your battery the last one in the chain? Then there should be an end cap on the unused link in / link out connection. This contributes to the IP protection of the system and reduces the risk of faults caused by dirt or corrosion.
Application of the GBLI end cap
- Sealing off unused link connectors on the Growatt GBLI 6.5 kWh battery (GBLI6532).
- Safe completion of a battery system with only one GBLI module.
- Last battery in the chain with multiple GBLI modules in parallel: close off link output with an end cap.
- Neat and professional finishing of your home battery system.

Why use a GBLI end cap?
- Better protection of contacts
Free connectors left uncovered can eventually foul or corrode. With an end cap, you shield the connector neatly. - Neater finish
A sealed connection looks a lot more professional than an open plug or dangling connector. Especially in technical areas or with visible installations, this makes all the difference. - Safety and durability
By neatly sealing unused connections, you reduce the risk of moisture problems and extend the service life of both battery and cabling.
Installation tips
- 1. Switch off the installation safely
Preferably start working when the battery and inverter are de-energised (follow the Growatt manual). This prevents unwanted error messages or sparking. - 2. Check which port is free
Check which link in / link out connector is not in use. The GBLI end cap should be placed on that connector. - 3. Place end cap
Place the end cap straight onto the free connector and press firmly until it is firmly in place. It should not wobble loose or fall off easily. - 4. Visual check
Check that all used connectors are neatly connected (cable sets, parallel cable) and that all unused connections are now closed with an end cap.
