Smart control unit without battery module
The BYD BCU+ battery control unit is the brain of the BYD Battery-Box HVS+ and HVM+ system. This product concerns the BCU+ itself only, so without a battery module. You place the BCU+ on top of your stacked battery modules, where it controls charging, discharging and the communication with the inverter. Thanks to the integrated Smart WiFi/LAN module you also have real-time monitoring, firmware updates via OTA and easy remote diagnostics.

CAN/RS485 communication and automatic SOC balancing
The BYD BCU+ battery control unit works together with BYD’s LiFePO4 battery modules (lithium iron phosphate), a safe and durable cell chemistry. As a result, the system automatically balances the state of charge of the modules, so you can add modules at any time. In addition, the BCU+ communicates via CAN or RS485 with leading 1- and 3-phase inverters. This way you easily connect to brands such as Kostal, GoodWe, Solis, Fronius and SMA. The unit also supports on-grid, off-grid and backup applications.
Robust design for indoor and outdoor use
IP55 protection class and flexible expansion
Thanks to the IP55 protection class, the BCU+ is suitable for installation indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. The operating temperature ranges from -10 to +50 degrees Celsius. With one BCU+ you build a tower of 2 to 5 HVS+ modules or 3 to 8 HVM+ modules. You can also connect up to three towers in parallel for extra capacity. The maximum short-circuit current is 2,56 kA (HVM+) and 2,42 kA (HVS+) respectively, for a short duration of less than 8 ms, so that the system safely protects itself.
