Enphase Envoy-S Metered communication gateway.
Simple gateway to enable WiFi or LAN connection to your Enphase microinverters. To accurately monitor your system.
Also measure your consumption, or prepare your system for Enphase batteries by adding more CT clamps! 2 ct clamps are included as standard.
Suitable for single-phase and three-phase systems.

What the Envoy Metered gateway does
The Envoy Metered is the communication hub of an Enphase system. Every microinverter on the roof reports to it over the existing AC wiring, and the gateway forwards that data to Enphase Enlighten, where you can follow each panel individually. Without a gateway the microinverters keep producing, but you have no monitoring and no remote firmware updates.
What sets the Envoy Metered apart from the Standard version is the built-in revenue-grade metering. Combined with the current transformers it measures not only what your panels produce, but also what your household actually consumes. That gives you the split between self-consumption and export, which is the number that matters once feed-in compensation changes.
Installation notes
- Current transformers. The Envoy Metered needs CTs to measure consumption. Fit them around the main incoming conductors, with the arrow pointing towards the load.
- Phase configuration. On a three-phase connection you need one CT per phase and the correct phase setting in Installer Toolkit.
- Placement. Mount the gateway in or close to the consumer unit, on the same phase group as the microinverters.
- Connectivity. Ethernet is the most stable option. Wi-Fi works, but a metal consumer unit will weaken the signal.
Once commissioned, the Envoy Metered keeps running on its own. Firmware updates arrive through Enlighten, so the gateway stays current without you touching it.
