Fits: Growatt inverters with an RS232 port: SPH 3000-6000 single-phase and SPH TL3 BH three-phase without UP, SPA and the old S series. Does NOT fit: inverters with a USB port (MIN, MIC, MOD, MID, MAX, SPH-UP) – use the Shine Link-X / Link-X2 with RF Stick-X / X2 for those.

The Growatt RF Stick serves as an extension to the Shine Link Lanbox. Up to 6 inverters can be connected to the lanbox. To connect an additional inverter to the lanbox, you need an additional RF Stick, which ensures that your additional inverter can also transmit a radio signal.

Monitor all your inverters via 1 Lanbox, without having to pull a LAN cable and without having to use the wifi.

Which Growatt dongle fits my inverter?

Growatt has two families of monitoring dongles. Everything with an X or X2 in the name (ShineWiFi-X, Wilan-X2, ShineLAN-X, Shine Link-X/X2, Shine RF Stick X2, Shine GPRS-X) plugs into the USB port. The ShineWiFi-S, Shine Link LANbox and the old ShineLAN plug into the RS232 port. The ShineWiFi-F is only for the off-grid SPF series.

Not sure? Look at the underside of the inverter: a round socket with a screw cap (you twist the dongle to lock it) = USB = X dongle. A rectangular 9-pin connector behind a plate marked “RS-232” (the dongle is fixed with two screws) = ShineWiFi-S. If the type label of your SPH says “UP”, it is always an X dongle.
