Installation tips for DIY installers and professionals
- 1. Check your grid connection
The SUN2000 15KTL-M2 is intended for 3×400 V + N. If you have a 3×230 V grid (without neutral), this inverter is not suitable. - 2. String design according to voltage and current limits
Take into account the maximum input current of 27 A per MPPT and the operating voltage range of 160–950 V. With modern panels of 400–600 W you often end up with relatively long strings; calculate this carefully, certainly at low winter temperatures (Voc). - 3. Spread roof surfaces across both MPPTs
Place different orientations (for example south and east/west) on separate MPP trackers. When using optimisers you have extra freedom, but it remains wise to group shade and roof surfaces logically. - 4. Positioning the inverter
Mount the inverter on a solid wall, free of vibration, out of direct sunlight and with sufficient free space all around (above/below/sides) for cooling and servicing. - 5. Set up communication straight away
After commissioning, add the inverter to the FusionSolar app immediately, configure RS485 or dongles and check that monitoring and any export limits work correctly. - 6. Do not forget the grid code
During commissioning, set the correct country code/grid code (for example VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549, C10/11, etc.) so that the inverter operates neatly in line with the requirements of your grid operator.
