Moodpro Cast Sleeve Package – Waterproof Cable Connection (EAN 8719322638267)

The Moodpro casting socket is a complete set for waterproof and mechanically strong connection of electrical cables in garden, outdoor space, crawl space or (semi-)underground situations.
Ideal for lighting, pumps, driveway heating, outdoor sockets and low-voltage PV wiring. The package contains everything you need to work quickly, safely and neatly-without having to search for loose parts.

Application

• Outdoor lighting, garden installations, pond/submersible pumps, heaters, load point preparation.
• Low-voltage AC (230/400 V) and DC auxiliary circuits within the permissible range of the socket.
• Permanent and semi-permanent cable repairs or extensions in damp areas.

Compatibility & dimensions

Suitable for round and installation cables (e.g. YMvK, H07RN-F) and 2-5 conductors, depending on conductor thickness and connector.
This EAN variant is a general size for common garden applications.

What’s in the box?

• 2-piece casting mould with closing clip(s)
• 2-component casting compound (pre-weighed in mixing bag)
• Strain relief/centering and cable grommets

Installation in 6 clear steps

1. Prepare – Switch off power. Strip cables as instructed and make a sound electrical connection with clamps/crimp (not always included).
2. Positioning – Place the connection in the mould, centre the cables and secure strain relief.
3. Mixing – Activate the 2-component bag (tear/break separation), knead 30-60 s until homogeneous.
4. Pour – Fill the mould gently and completely; tap out air bubbles.
5. Curing – Allow to cure undisturbed. Indication: hand-solid after approx. 30-60 min at 20 °C; fully loadable after several hours (depending on temperature/volume).
6. Replenish – Check sealing, if necessary seal additionally with tape or shrink tubing according to local standard.

Technical points of attention

• Insulation class/IP: waterproof (IP class depending on correct mounting and cable finish).
• Temperature: preferably process above 5 °C; curing time increases with cold.
• Chemistry: 2-component resin (polyurethane/similar). Work with gloves, avoid skin contact.
• Standards: use only on circuits within the voltage/current limits of the socket and local installation requirements (NEN 1010 etc.).

Jet green-tip

Place the casting sleeve at a quiet point in the pipe (no tensile load) and always make the electrical connection according to the correct pressing/clamping technique.
For underground use: lay the socket in a drainage bed (e.g. gravel) and prevent it from standing in water.
