The SolarEdge P485 is a rail-mounted power optimiser for a single solar panel.
Perfect when you want to install quickly, neatly and safely on residential or small commercial roofs.
You get panel-level MPPT for maximum kWh, SafeDC™ for voltage reduction on shutdown
and full panel monitoring in the SolarEdge platform—with the housing mounted directly onto the mounting rail.

Application & compatibility

Installation tips
- Mounting – clip/screw the P485 onto the mounting rail. Keep ventilation space all around underneath the panel.
- DC connection – use MC4-compatible connectors; click fully home until you hear a “click” and carry out a pull test.
- Cable management – route the longer positive lead tightly along the rail/frame to the next module; respect the bending radius.
- Commissioning – follow the SolarEdge procedure: module mapping, insulation measurement and checking SafeDC behaviour before switching on.
