Sustainable N-Type i-TOPCon technology

Less degradation, higher yield over the years

Trina manufactures this panel using N-Type i-TOPCon cells, which are significantly less susceptible to LID and LeTID degradation than conventional PERC cells. As a result, yield remains high, even in the long term. In the first year, maximum degradation is just 1 per cent, after which the panel’s output declines by a maximum of 0.4 per cent annually. As a result, after 30 years, the panel will still deliver at least 87.4 per cent of its original power output. Furthermore, thanks to its favourable temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C, this panel performs exceptionally well in hot weather, as power loss in high temperatures is kept to a minimum.

Glass-glass construction with high load-bearing capacity

The double-glass construction provides optimum protection for the cells against severe weather conditions. As a result, the panel can withstand a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and a wind load of up to 4,000 Pa (test load). Furthermore, the junction box is IP68-certified, ensuring that dust and water cannot penetrate. The black anodised aluminium frame also offers excellent resistance to corrosive environments, whilst the panel operates within an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C. Thanks to these features, the panel continues to perform reliably in any location.

Installation and fitting in practice

What to look out for during assembly

• The frame has four 9×14 mm mounting holes for securing the panel to the support structure.
• Secure each fixing point with an M6/M8 bolt and tighten to 10–14 N.m.
• When using clamps, ensure a minimum overlap of 8 mm with the frame and use at least four clamps per panel.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 5 mm between two panels.
• Earth the frame via the earthing holes and tighten the earthing screw to 3–7 N·m.
• Do not bend the PV cables to a radius of less than 43 mm to prevent damage.
