The Growatt APX 5.0P-B3 battery module is the expansion module that allows you to flexibly build up your Growatt APX HV 2.0 home battery. Each module delivers 314 Ah and 5 kWh, enabling you to expand your storage capacity in stages. Thanks to the modular design, you can stack up to five battery modules around an APX 5.0M-B3 control module, resulting in a system of up to 30 kWh. This allows you to make the most of the solar energy you generate yourself, even when the sun isn’t shining.

Cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate cells

Growatt builds this module using cobalt-free LiFePO4 cells, as this chemistry is known for its long service life and high safety standards. Furthermore, the battery features an integrated DC-DC converter that boosts 16 V to 400 V or 750 V, depending on the connected inverter. In addition, intelligent energy optimisation at module level ensures that you can easily combine new and old modules. This allows your system to grow in line with your energy needs, without the need for a complete replacement. The module is certified to IEC 62619 and the European Low Voltage Directive, so you can be assured of its quality.

Thanks to its IP66 protection rating, you can install the Growatt APX 5.0P-B3 battery module both indoors and outdoors. The system operates reliably within an operating temperature range of -20 to 55 degrees Celsius, making it resilient to changing conditions. Furthermore, the module uses passive cooling with a heating foil, keeping maintenance to a minimum. For outdoor installation, we recommend a sun and rain shield, as this extends its service life. In short, this battery combines safety with long-term, reliable performance.
