The Growatt APX 5.0M-B3 Master Module forms the smart heart of every APX HV 2.0 battery system. This master module controls the entire system and comes with 5 kWh of storage capacity as standard. This allows you to lay the foundations for a complete and scalable system in one go. What’s more, this module combines control and storage in a single unit, meaning you need fewer separate components and can install it more quickly. Thanks to the included base, you can easily install the module as a floor-standing unit.

Safe and scalable LiFePO4 technology

Cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate cells with integrated BMU

Growatt builds this module using cobalt-free LiFePO4 cells, as this chemistry is known for its long service life and high safety. In addition, the module contains a battery management unit (BMU), a power control unit and an integrated DC-DC converter that boosts 16 V to 400 V or 750 V, depending on the connected inverter. Furthermore, the module is compatible with both single-phase and three-phase installations, so you do not have to choose between variants. You can connect up to five APX 5.0P-B3 battery modules to this master module, resulting in a system of up to 30 kWh. This allows your storage capacity to grow in line with your energy needs.

Thanks to its IP66 protection rating, you can install the Growatt APX 5.0M-B3 Master Module both indoors and outdoors. The system operates reliably within an operating temperature range of -20 to 55 degrees Celsius, making it resilient to changing conditions. Furthermore, the module uses passive cooling with a heating foil, keeping maintenance to a minimum. For outdoor installation, we recommend a sun and rain shield, as this extends its service life. In short, this master module combines safety with long-term, reliable performance.
