The NISE-610E SmartLog data logger is a professional communication gateway for larger PV installations with multiple inverters. Instead of connecting each inverter to the internet separately, you can connect multiple inverters to this logger via RS485. The gateway then collects all the data and transmits it via Ethernet to the monitoring platform. This gives you a clear overview of the performance of your entire installation. This device is clearly intended for commercial applications, not for a domestic property with a single inverter.

Flexible networking options and Modbus support

Four serial ports and multiple protocols

The logger features four universal RS485 ports that support Modbus RTU. Furthermore, each serial port can control up to 30 inverters, allowing you to monitor up to 120 inverters. Via the Ethernet port, the NISE-610E SmartLog data logger also supports Modbus TCP, IEC104 and MQTT. This allows the device to connect easily to various monitoring platforms. Please note: this is an OEM version without a brand logo. You should therefore check before installation whether the firmware and configuration are suitable for your inverters and the desired platform. The same NISE-610E hardware is used in professional PV monitoring systems from manufacturers such as Canadian Solar and Solis/Ginlong.

Flexible mounting and wide input voltage range

Thanks to its compact design, you can mount the logger on a DIN rail, on a wall or on a desk. This means the device fits into virtually any switch cabinet or technical room. The power supply accepts a wide input voltage range of 9–48 V DC, whilst the supplied power module operates at 85–264 V AC. Furthermore, the unit features clear status indicators (PWR, RUN, F1, F2) and a PE connection for protection against static discharge and overvoltage. In short, a reliable solution for the experienced installer.
