The Growatt MOD 7000 TL3-XH 3-phase inverter is a powerful and efficient 3-phase hybrid inverter, perfect for solar panels on private homes. With its excellent price-quality ratio, this inverter is an ideal choice for every household that considers sustainability and energy efficiency important.
2 MPP Trackers for Optimal Performance
The Growatt MOD 7000 TL3-XH has two MPP trackers, which means that you can connect two separate ‘strings’ of solar panels without shade on one string affecting the performance of the other. This is handy for roofs where part of the day shade falls on some of the solar panels. You can connect up to 2 strings of at least 160 volts per string, with a combined peak power of a maximum of 14000 watts. When the solar panels are working at their maximum capacity, the inverter can, provided it is connected to a battery, supply up to 7000 watts to the electricity grid and at the same time send 7000 watts to the battery. This functionality is known as the Dual Power Function.
Quiet and Efficient Cooling
Thanks to the natural convection cooling, the inverter works without fans, which makes the system quiet. Moreover, the inverter is transformerless, which minimises energy losses and increases the efficiency. The standby consumption is approximately 5,5 watts per hour.
Hybrid Functionality
This hybrid inverter is compatible with a battery, such as the ARK battery system. Please note that this inverter is not compatible with the Growatt APX batteries.
Importance of a Growatt Smart Meter
The use of a Growatt Smart meter 3-phase is essential for controlling the battery efficiently. This energy meter is installed at the beginning of your meter cupboard and measures the total incoming and outgoing energy of your home. The meter communicates with the inverter via a data cable in order to optimise the charging and discharging processes. In addition, the energy meter offers the option of limiting the export to the grid.
Standalone Battery Inverter
The Growatt MOD 7000 TL3-XH can also function as a standalone battery inverter, without connected solar panels. For monitoring solar energy from another inverter, a Growatt Smart Meter TPM-6CT-C-EU is required. You then use 3ct coils for the main connection and 3ct coils for the existing solar panel system.
Setting Energy Priorities
You can set various priorities for the energy distribution:
- Load first: Preferred mode in which the generated solar power goes first to the household appliances, then to the battery and the surplus to the grid.
- Battery first: The battery is charged first, then the household appliances are supplied with power and the remaining surplus goes to the grid.
- Grid first: All generated power is fed back directly to the grid.
Monitoring and Warranty
For monitoring, Growatt offers its own platform. Order a monitoring module such as the Wifi-X, LAN-X or Shinelink-X dongle to connect your inverter to the internet and view your energy yield remotely.
As standard, Growatt gives a 10-year warranty on the MOD 7000 TL3-XH 3-phase inverter.
Difference from the TL3-XH BP version
The MOD 7000 TL3-XH is the standard version without the option of adding a backup power function. Do you need backup power in the event of a power failure? Then choose the Growatt MOD 7000 TL3-XH BP, to which a backup power function can be added with a backup box.
